Kamaria has received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Wilmington University and a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has five years’ experience working with adolescents in school and community settings facilitating psychoeducation/support groups on sex, teen dating violence, and drugs. She is LGBTQIA+ friendly. She has also years of early education experience with children ages birth through 8 years doing early interventions, attachment therapy, intensive family plans and parenting classes. Kamaria has also worked with adult and geriatric populations.

Eclectic in her therapeutic approach, Kamaria implements techniques from narrative, solution focused, and cognitive behavior therapy depending on the needs of the client. In session, Kamaria challenges the client to think of their experiences separate from their identity. She works with them to identify their strengths and empowers them to develop new ones. Clients have commented that therapy with Kamaria is ‘work’ but appreciate that she is relatable and creates a warm and positive environment.
