Bethanie is a Masters level Clinical Counselor and a Provisional Registered Art Therapist. She has experience working with substance use, depression, anxiety, ADHD, ASD, and other life experiences. She has an eclectic approach to therapy that fosters expression and exploration in a compassionate, person centered, and trauma informed environment.
Bethanie obtained her dual Master’s degree in art therapy and counseling from Southwestern College of Santa Fe. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Delaware State University with concentrations in studio art and psychology.
Bethanie’s therapeutic methods include cognitive behavior therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, motivational interviewing, and art therapy. Anyone can participate in art making, there are no previous skills or experience necessary! Clients have described Bethanie as having a calm, grounding presence that makes individuals feel safe and comforted while allowing for deep transformation to take place.
